After another successful year LAND Gallery is currently on a well deserved Winter break. However there is no rest for the wickedly artistic!! We are currently beavering away behind the scenes to decorate and refurbish our space ready for an exciting re-opening reception on Saturday the 2nd March from 5pm – 7pm.

Our 2024 season is set to be our biggest yet, we are expanding our wall space and bringing in new artisan offerings as well as retaining your favorite well established artists.

As you enter into the gallery the our main “feature” wall will be host to a new monthly program of shows, openings and talks in partnership with the Sherman Artists Association.

Sherman Artists Association is a non-profit organization with aims to promote the visual arts and enriching the cultural life of the Sherman community. Here at LAND we are excited to see how this cross State (ny / ct) partnership can develop, as well as introduce the work of some extremely talented photographers, artists and artisans to a new audience.

New Milford based fine art photographer Jim Stasiak will be the first to benefit from this partnership and we look forward to bringing you more information in a future blog post.

Meanwhile in the back of the gallery we have re-organised and expanded the available wall and display space. This area will be subject to slightly longer duration shows and as well as featuring the work of our current photographers and artists, (Jane Haslam, Linda Hubbard, Kelly Edwards, Rebecca Tocci) we will also curate and introduce new work from the likes of nature photographer Mark Davies and photographer turned artist, Mark Rosengarten.

LAND also maintains a curated artisanal gift gallery and we are proud to represent a number of outstanding local artisans. Whilst we have plans to introduce new names to our offerings in 2024 all your existing favorites are still with us and have plans to expand their offerings throughout the year.

Pawling based, Ed Bryan of Hudson Valley Woodworking is a huge supporter of LAND, he is currently traveling in England, being involved with various workshops and we are very excited to see how his work will develop this year on his return. Holmes based Genevieve Jan is the engine room behind Fathom Soap Company, we introduced her to Pawling late in 2022 and it’s incredible to see her progress over the last 12 months or so.

Thank you so much for reading this, our first blog post, as well as supporting the Gallery. We look forward to welcoming you back and can’t wait for you to see all the new work we have for you in 2024
